SBS Journal of Applied Business Research (SBS JABR), published by SBS Swiss Business School in Zurich, Switzerland, is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal dedicated to advancing applied business research. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, fostering collaboration between scholars and practitioners worldwide.

Readership

SBS JABR serves a diverse audience, including academics, researchers, and students—particularly those in Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programs—executives, policymakers, administrators in both private and public sectors, strategists, management consultants, and others interested in advanced management practices.

Peer Review Process

To maintain the highest standards of academic rigor and integrity, all manuscripts submitted to SBS JABR undergo a stringent external and independent peer review process. This includes a double-blind review system, selection of external reviewers with specialized knowledge, strict conflict-of-interest disclosures, and a commitment to transparency and confidentiality throughout the review process. The final decision on manuscript acceptance is made by the editorial board, ensuring that published articles meet scholarly and ethical requirements.

Open Access Policy

SBS JABR operates under a Platinum/Diamond Open Access model, providing immediate and unrestricted access to all published content. There are no article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees for authors, and all articles are freely accessible to readers upon publication. The journal is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY 4.0), allowing for free distribution and adaptation of the work, provided proper credit is given.

Publication Volume and Sustainability

Publication volume and journal sustainability represent essential indicators of a journal’s vitality, scholarly relevance, and long-term viability within its disciplinary community. While there is no universally fixed benchmark for the number of articles a journal must publish annually, established indexing bodies emphasize consistency, regularity, and demonstrable engagement from the research community as key evaluation criteria. A stable and sufficiently broad publication output signals that the journal attracts a continuous flow of quality submissions, maintains an active editorial and peer-review process, and is capable of supporting meaningful longitudinal assessment of its scholarly impact. To this end, the SBS Journal of Applied Business Research aims to strengthen its sustainability by maintaining regular publication schedules, expanding international outreach, and fostering thematic diversity aligned with its scope, while ensuring that any increase in publication volume is underpinned by rigorous peer review and adherence to internationally recognized publishing standards, as emphasized in the scholarly publishing literature.
